If Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani's postseason heroics are a preview of the 2026 WBC, then baseball fans should be ecstatic

The Dodgers have played in 23 World Series in franchise history. The team owns a record of 9-14 in those Fall Classics. The Dodgers made nine appearances when the franchise was located in Brooklyn, and 14 since moving to Los Angeles.

The seven-game series saw two extra-inning games, 19 home runs and some of the Fall Classic's most pivotal moments in recent memory.

What a Game 7. What a World Series. The Dodgers are champs again. And this time, they won it in unbelievably thrilling fashion. A game-tying home run from Miguel Rojas in the ninth. A game-winning home run from Will Smith in the 11th.

Former Iowa baseball alum Jack Dreyer made program history by appearing in a historic Game 3 of the 2025 MLB World Series for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"Yeah my dad is obviously going to head out there tomorrow as well," Freeman said Tuesday. "So it's going to be pretty special. And I'm not so sure the Canadian fans, Blue Jays fans, will be cheering for me this time around like it was in the World Baseball Classic the last couple of times. But it is special."
