Stock Market Today: Nasdaq, S&P End Sharply Lower With Meta's Plunge
Meta stock plunged more than 9% after the Facebook parent company reported third-quarter results. A strong performance from its advertising business powered Meta's fastest sales growth since early last year, while the tech giant said it would continue to spend big on its AI ambitions.
Stocks finish mostly lower even after the Fed cut interest rates and said it will stop shrinking its balance sheet on Dec. 1. Separately, investors are preparing for earnings from three of the Mag 7 mega-cap stocks after the close.
