The 51st Season of Saturday Night Live is three episodes in, and so far it’s been pretty mediocre, with a lot of underwhelming sketches and underutilized talent. The best I can say is that it’s been a bit better each week.

Five new faces have joined the SNL cast, following the departure of several cast members amid a shake-up ahead of season 51. The new cast members are: Ben Marshall, Veronika Slowikowska, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane and Kam Patterson.

White House has previously criticized an act of SNL featuring Donald Trump earlier this month which also included Colin Jost as Pete Hegseth.

Once it was time for her monologue, Carpenter addressed the recent controversy of her album cover. For context, there was discourse over whether her cover was appealing to the male gaze or was trying to riot against it.

These SNL sketches may still be funny — or may not be, depending on your taste — but there's almost no chances the current Saturday Night Live would attempt them.
