Cheney, the 46th vice president, died last night of complications from pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, his family said in a statement.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, who died on Nov. 3, is survived by his wife Lynne, daughters Mary and Liz and several grandchildren.

Cheney bin serve as di vice-president to Republican President George W Bush between 2001 and 2009.
