Britain’s King Charles has announced that his brother, Andrew, will be stripped of his “prince” title and ordered to leave Royal Lodge, the 30-room mansion that has been his home since 2003, over the swirling Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Andrew and Fergie married in 1986, separated in 1992, and divorced in 1996, but the two have remained close. Andrew moved into his current home of Royal Lodge in 2003, with Ferguson joining him there in 2008. But the decision to live together wasn’t about affection, according to the Daily Mail.

Kate Middleton and Prince William wanted to move into the home, and Andrew stopped them.

It’s an eight-bedroom property that sits just a stone’s throw away from the Wales family’s former four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage home, and the property is said to be much closer to Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who often help to take care of George, Charlotte and Louis.

Today, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles has begun the formal process to remove his brother Prince Andrew’s titles and he will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. In the statement, the Palace also revealed that Andrew will be moving out of Royal Lodge.
