After Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud exited Sunday's game early following a hard hit to the head, Denver Broncos

At the top of the second quarter, Stroud would go down with a concussion following a scramble, taken down by Broncos cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine, which would sideline Houston's star quarterback for the remainder of the contest, elevate Davis Mills for the rest of the day, and wound up coming up short 15-18.

The Denver Broncos (6-2) are set to go on the road to face the Houston Texans (3-4) in Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Sunday, Nov. 2. A third Fairbairn field goal gives Houston a 9-7 lead over the Broncos.

Denver promptly forced a three-and-out, and the Broncos will now get the ball back.

Officials flagged the Broncos for the hit, but picked it up after determining there was no direct contact to the head.
